William A. Conway, J.D., tax attorney, investment banker, and legal educator, serves his clients with both financial and legal counsel. A graduate of Georgetown University Law Center, he is a registered investment advisor and tax attorney included in both Who’s Who in Finance and Industry and Who’s Who in American Law. Mr. Conway is a member of the bars of the Commonwealth of Virginia, District of Columbia, the State of Maryland, and the State of Florida.

His practice is dedicated to building wealth preservation and enhancement strategies for his client families’ estates and businesses, integrating sophisticated strategies and proven planning concepts to achieve client’s goals for themselves and their families for generations. Since establishing the practice in 1990, he has assured that the priority of Legacy Counsel Law, PLLC is building relationships with client families to actualize their personal, professional and estate goals.

Mr. Conway served as Adjunct Professor at George Mason University School of Law, where he taught tax law for five years. He has lectured at Georgetown University Law Center, and is nationally known for his continuing education courses on estate planning and wealth preservation for attorneys, financial planners, and accountants.

A founding member of WealthCounsel, LLC, Mr. Conway also serves as a managing partner and was instrumental in the formation of The Advisor’s Forum, a WealthCounsel, LLC, affiliate whose purpose is to promote collaboration between financial advisors, accountants and attorneys to provide clients with comprehensive, integrated planning.

In addition to making guest appearances on television programs such as “The Money Makers” on PBS, Mr. Conway created and hosted the radio series, “Legacy,” on Washington Business Radio which ran for 18 years, as well as serving as a co-host on “Money Talk – Family Fortunes.” Mr. Conway is co-author of two books, Legacy and Generations, which address the intricacies and advantages of comprehensive estate planning in an accessible format.

Originally from New York City, Mr. Conway has resided in Northern Virginia for more than 40 years. He and his wife, Ann, have worked together since establishing the law practice 21 years ago. They are both active in civic organizations in Northern Virginia, including the McLean Symphony, Share, Inc., and the McLean Chamber of Commerce.

SANDRA ADAMS, Trust Administration Coordinator

Sandra assists clients with the administrative tasks related to post-mortem valuations, allocation and distribution of assets. Sandra earned a Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting from the College of William & Mary, and spent 10 years at Ernst & Young before leaving her position as a senior manager to focus on her family. Sandra brings her thoroughness and attention to detail to each administration that she handles.
